Lots of tiny bubbles with a thick head. Good aroma of cloves, banana and spice. Smooth, balanced mouthfeel with light malt and a bit of hops. The barrel aging brings the flavors together nicely! — 11 years ago

One of three offerings from Mad Fritz last night @ NVWTG. Not usually a stout fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this well balanced brew. Wish I had snapped pics of the others! Great beer with a great story. Serious craftsmanship at work. — 10 years ago

Arietta Wines lunch with owner Fritz. We were able to taste through some current releases as well as some reserve wines Fritz brought with him personally. A treat to enjoy these Andy Erickson wines!
Lots of potential here but crazy youthful. H Block is CabFranc and merlot co-fermented. At this age, it was really fuzzy and nervy. Bouquet of violets and mulberry but also pepper spice and chalky tannins. This will get more floral but some dark cocoa notes started to show toward the end. — 7 years ago
