Cranberry in color, juicy cherries, soft earthiness and medium tannins, a little bit of spice, and a lovely long finish. Definitely better on day 2. 💎 — 8 years ago

What a beauty! Creamy, defined and rich. Perfumy with flowers, mint, sweet apples, minerality and very concentrated honest power. Acidity is angular, very bright and holds this huge palate together nicely (and oh boy, I wish I had a time machine to see how it evolves in 10 years). I'm still trying to crack that dominant aftertaste note — it's almost cake-like sweet, with some nutty backbone and caramel on the top. Absolutely in love. — 10 years ago

Another gem from the California Lost and Found file. My friends at Meeker Vineyards recently stumbled upon 100 cases of this 2001 bottling of Mendocino Carignan in their cellars. When they offered me samples I happily accepted. Drinking very well- great purity, definition and balance. Bright red fruits, dried flowers, mint,
eucalyptus, tobacco- characteristics that I’ve noted in some of their older wines. Skillful cork removal and decanting required, tools not included. — 7 years ago
Delicious Pinot. Not your normal Cali Pinot - like I’ve had in France. Kenny does such a great job with his Pinots. I just love them. — 7 years ago
Excelente IPA, suave. — 8 years ago
Typical northwest IPA but very well done. Obviously they have the best selection of hops available given that the brewery is literally in the middle of their own hop fields. The beer has good citrusy and somewhat grassy hop nose and sweet malt. On he palate, it is well balanced with hop bitterness and slightly sweet and lightly biscuity malt. Very local, so this is an easy go-to beer for me. — 8 years ago
Plump and juicy, easy to drink. Excellent value for the money. — 9 years ago
Delicious and refreshing beer that is more of a flavorful lager than yet another overhopped IPA monstrosity. Tried three beers from Magic Hat and impressed most by how restraint can be crafty unto itself. — 9 years ago
Hobo Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley Sonoma County 2013
Was eager to taste this one as I like all I’ve had from Hobo / Folk Machine. Nice flavors of black berries and spices, fresh enough, good acidity, structure and oak touch. Delightful! Not that far from Ridge Vineyards Zinfandel’s, my reference for that grape variety.
Made of 92% Zinfandel and 8% Petite Sirah. Aged in oak barrels, French and American, 15% new. Alcohol level of 13,8% #dansmonverre — 10 years ago

Central Coast ripeness well balanced with freshness, acidity, and a light hand in the winery. — 7 years ago
a more burgundian take oh PN from Folk Machine with excellent results. light and agile with an undertone of dried fruit. — 7 years ago
Absolutely delicious and adding gracefully. 2012 consumed in March 2018. Plenty of life still left in this. Great minerality and cherry funk. Love it! — 7 years ago
