Tasted blind...initially very tannic but settled down after a few minutes (or my palate was subdued into compliance). Elegant notes of dark, tart red fruit and earthy spices. Black pepper and smoke complimented the finish, which was tart but appropriate and enjoyable. I was surprised on the age but in hindsight this was a good thing, as the tannin has mellowed enough to allow for the fruit to really come through. Overall a very well done wine. Another beautifully produced wine from Luc and team. Nose of orchids and honeysuckle with loads of lemon and apricot on the palate. This wine has great balance and structure. Layer upon layer of fleshy melons and fruits. Mild acidity with a long finish. — 6 years ago

Reticent on both nose and palate for 1st hour. Both unfurl with air. Meat, black fruit, floral on nose. Expands in glass. Palate fills out: nice whack of salty earth, iron, meat, black cherry. Buoyed by ripe tannins and sneaky acidity. No hurry here, but a very satisfying 2006. Re-buy, enthusiastically. — 11 years ago
