Probably one of the most complete barrel aged stouts I've had. Massive amounts of dark chocolate, coffee, and bourbon-y notes. Finishes unusually very sweet and round. The first time I have seen this in Texas since we got distribution. — 11 years ago

Yesterday was a bit crazy, so I'm a little delayed on our Easter wine review. Being warm in Texas and since my Dad was in town, I decided to open this Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Light, crisp with plenty of fruit and not overpoweringly sweet, this wine has been my favorite Pinot since Heidi & I 1st tried it in Napa. A good price is under $75, so this is not an everyday drinker; but, they also have a 2nd label called Jayson (a solid Pinot for $45). Also not cheap, however, these are not mass produced "named" wines with pretty labels. I prefer quality and low yield, even if it costs a little more. Cheers! — 12 years ago
