Fresh floral aroma. Flavor of pears and honey followed by warm tannins. A lovely complex Chardonnay. — 12 years ago
Jeroboam 2005. They say this was a challenging vintage. This bottling beats the challenge. 21 years from harvest it opens up beautifully. Luscious leather, dark cherry with tobacco and currant. The nose is as if you stepped into a new car 2 hours after someone baked christmas spice cookies. — 3 months ago
Magnum pour decanted was my favorite. Really hits with a punch of acid off the bat - pomelo, green citrus, hint of mushroom. Very fine bubbles, cinnamon roll glaze creaminess. Non-decanted version was more bitter, more grapefruit zest and pith. 70% pinot noir, 30% chardonnay - though the color was quite light and leaned straw with just a hint of pink. — 4 months ago
Raisin tight enough; no character yet.
20 minutes later: Ooh light cherry cola! Had it with my weirdly chocolate tasting homemade soba. I guess seaweed, tsuru no moto, tamari, egg, sesame oil caramelize in the mouth and make this wine like a trip to 7-Eleven in 1986. Me likie. — 5 months ago
Earthy, cherry taste and both a bit bold and quite elegant. Time continues to serve this juice well — 7 months ago
I see Raspberries and some cherries but not plums as noted on the back of the bottle. Quite harsh. Compared to the Renaissance from Oregon from Jadot - so essentially the same conglomerate on two continents - this is much more light weight and lacks real intensity and interest I would suggest drink up now - reasonable but not more. It was a gift. This will certainly not take cellar space. Softened over night so two more point for Gryffindor. — 10 months ago
Exquisite, really smooth, light and drinkable with just about any fish dish. Will for sure get again — 6 years ago
