Really nice now, but restrained. In 4-5yr this is going knock your socks off. — 5 months ago
Stunning, really. Still fresh and fruity, but with impeccable balance. Wish I had more! — 5 months ago
Easy drinker. Pale straw hues in the glass and medium white fruits on the nose. Light citrusy lemon, melon and green apple on the palate. A good balance of acidity and minerality. Don't kill this with an icy chill. Drink this with a light chill for optimum flavor. — 9 months ago

This was our second bottle. First was uninspiring and despite the 97pt RP rating, found it to be disappointing. The trick is to let it breathe for at least an hour to let the flavors develop. It is no Opus One but very satisfying with a juicy steak or just plain enjoyment! — 8 years ago

Opened about 30 minutes prior to dinner but no decant. Served slightly chilled. The 2016 “Blanche” pours a deep straw color with medium viscosity. Developing with notes of ripe stone fruit, tropical fruit, nutmeg, white pepper, minerals and cotton candy. On the palate, the wine is dry with lower acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. This is a wine of impeccable texture to match the king crab legs with dinner. Drink now through 2031. — 9 months ago
Initially nice with red fruits, opening up with more forest floor after about 15 mins. 30 mins later, the heat of the vintage comes out. So, really enjoyable, but only for a pretty narrow window of time. — 10 months ago
Lean and lacking the minerality of great white burgundy, but still really pretty with floral notes, almonds, and peaches. It’s good quality for the price. — 6 years ago
Good Chardonnay, $13 at wegmans. — 7 years ago
Really lovely Lirac, Grenache and Syrah show mostly, the proprietor (Rodolphe des Pins) (in my opinion!!) dragged his feet too long in joining the Lirac appellation, but his wines have LONG been undervalued and are fantastic at their pricepoint, I personally have more bottles of this, which I expect to age well!! — 4 months ago
Tasted blind. On to the reds, we're served two side by side. This is light tawny color, translucent. Masculine nose. Notes of black fruit, dark earth, cherries and some hickory. Very rustic, which led me to a 1989 guess as to the vintage. Guessed 89 Rousseau Clos de Beze. I've had this Jadot bottle several times over the years... this was clearly the best performance for it, and bottles like tonight's easily have another decade in front of it but I don't think it will get any better with more age. — 5 years ago
A delightful Brut with the crispness of pear and green apple accented with strawberry and raspberry. A nice rose to celebrate my nephew's 1st birthday and to enjoy on a sunny Sunday. — 5 years ago
Upfront and transparent and confrontational. Strong posture. Wears a leather jacket in the summer. Blood and rust and repressed tears and a grainy black and white western. Cigarettes that he rips the filter off of to make them stronger. — 7 years ago
Sneaky ripe for an Hermitage. A lot of fruit right out of the gate, but as it warms/breathes...The classic tar, meat and leather starts to emerge. What a wine — 8 years ago

Where do I begin… this wine is stunning.
It is positively golden in color with concentrated notes of caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, creme brûlée, dried apricot, yellow apple, peach, nectarine, yellow cherry, kumquat, baked quince, lemon curd, honeysuckle, butter cream, lavender,, dried herbs, fennel, beeswax, honey, chamomile, hazelnut, praline, honey, & wet stones…
It’s textured!!! Waxy & mouth coating, full bodied, round, & opulent.
Alcohol is high at 14.5% ABV — it’s warming but balanced and integrated with the deeply rooted flavors and elevated, vibrant acidity. Yum!!!!!
