Louis M. Martini

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

This was our second bottle. First was uninspiring and despite the 97pt RP rating, found it to be disappointing. The trick is to let it breathe for at least an hour to let the flavors develop. It is no Opus One but very satisfying with a juicy steak or just plain enjoyment! — 8 years ago

Domaine des Héritiers Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay

Such elegance and structure. Fruit, minerality, and acids all in beautiful harmony. Plenty of life ahead of it. 2004 vintage. — 9 years ago

Domaine Jean-Louis Chave

Farconnet Hermitage Syrah 2011

Sneaky ripe for an Hermitage. A lot of fruit right out of the gate, but as it warms/breathes...The classic tar, meat and leather starts to emerge. What a wine — 8 years ago

Offerus Saint-Joseph Syrah 2012

Hmmm-has the charcuterie & smoky minerality, good grip, dark blood color kind a thing. Good. 2012 — 9 years ago
