Barnhill, Otagu perhaps the home of NZ PN, and boy this one doesn't let you down. Sam Neill name behind this, classic PN, cherry, tabac, berries galore, mirrored to many a French PN but so much better. — 3 years ago
This is definitely one of Zynsy-wynsy and my favorite wines so far. Has a subtle sweetness that adds to what we like most about other SBs like Wairau and Southern Right. Only reason this doesn’t get higher than a 9.5 is that there are still so many to try and I’m sure there’s room to grow. — 5 months ago
The “King of Chardonnay” Mike Grgich farms w/o pesticides and certified organic. Aged 10 months, no MLF. Medium lemon color with aromas of ripe stone & citrus fruits. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot & citrus flavors, with honeysuckle & toasty oak notes. Good balance with acidity on medium+ finish ending with mineral notes. Not your typical CA Chard! — 8 months ago

Mostly Grenache, this blend also brings Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan to the glass. Light and bright red fruits on the nose open gracefully onto the palate. Although from Provence, the Les Beaux de Provence comes across more like a Cote du Rhone that’s easy to talk to. It’s a graceful & tasteful little find, south of $20. — a month ago
