North loop. Dry, good. Shiraz, zin, cab. — 9 years ago
Out of the loop, crazy, once-in-a-lifetime village wine. Bought a case for £140 at auction, not knowing Broadbent rated it ***** "Knock-out drops". A healthy golden hue - dense, with little water at the rim; lots of dandelions, salty bread dough (without yeast), hints of sweet pears and apples; incredibly buttery and incredibly long (50+ seconds). A faint hint of volatile acidity creeping in towards the end but still one of the most powerful, evocative, and expressive white wines I have ever tasted!! — 10 years ago
I love this stuff! Burnt butter popcorn and lime peel kick this to a whole new level, a bit too froot loop cereal flavored and a tiny bit too much alcohol, but very solid and delicious wine. — 11 years ago
2005 Servin Grand Cru threw me for a loop yesterday in our blind tasting group. Good lessons! — 11 years ago
Let's see if we throw Delectable for a loop. Sous voile for days. Or nights rather. 1001 to be exact. — 12 years ago
Such an insane wine. Really threw me for a loop. Eucalyptus, cured meat, mint, and (believe it or not) nutter butter. Paint, burning marshmallow on the nose. Made me stop in my tracks — 9 years ago
North loop. Dry. — 9 years ago
This one threw me for a loop. Olives on the nose and plum fruit on the palate. Very heavy mouthfeel, fat and smooth on night one - almost no tannins came through. Monochromatic; without the acid it was hard to have more than a glass. Night two much more tannic and coarse. Not sure what to make of it. — 9 years ago

Nice everyday cab with an awesome label! — 10 years ago
This threw me for a loop, but as I picked it apart it truly shows how well crafted this wine is put together. — 11 years ago
One of our favorites in a mid-range price. — 12 years ago
Theres a canned green vegetable note to this that threw me for a loop. More body and flavor than most PG from Oregon. A kiss of RS on the finish. My favorite — 9 years ago
Concentrated and powerful. Great acidity, and a bitterness akin to citrus peel or certain hops. I detect oak in both nose and palate, but Chardonnay always throws me for a loop with regards to oak. Really glad I got to taste 2 of Burgundy's most prized sub-appellations tonight! — 9 years ago
Really cool character. A very fun but complex wine, threw me for a loop but has some fun cotton candy, flowers, almost Riesling-like, but not. — 9 years ago
