2014 Chenin Blanc. Briny, honeyed, with lots of pure Chenin funk. Rich golden color, full on the palate, rich and satisfying. Would like to see just a touch more acidity. — 9 years ago

This is a pale golden straw sparkling Brut made in Napa by the famous Mumm sparkling house. It is made with the traditional method and features fine bubble effervescence. Aromas of green apple and crisp pear with lightly baked biscuit and a hint of citrus zest. Made from Pinot noir, Pinot meunièr, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay grapes. Mouthfeel crisp and tart, this wine is balanced with fruit and acidity and structured for enjoyment with a diversity of culinary gastronomic experiences. Love this wine. Pinot Noir with a dash of Cesar. Bright and deep cherry, licorice, mineral and some nice white pepper hints. Complete and complex nose. Palate is full and charmingly rustic. Full of fruit and finesse with firm tannins and lovely balance. Terrific freshness. Really juicy. Drinking so well now. — 9 years ago

A nose of cesar and spice -

Saline is the dominant flavor, as poetic fruits dip in and out of the main rhythm. Pom, Ras, Blue berries vie for attention, yet are tamped down by the saline, cedar, and passion fruit acidity.

Inky and dark purple color. Nose of nice oaky note, tobacco, cherry, plum, spice and anise. Nose is plenty and enjoyable. Taste of oak, Cesar, bright acidity, strong tannins, cherry, but a bit watery to me. Aftertaste is again hit by oak and a bit bittersweet, graphite, meaty, and hotness from alcohol. Hold this one for years to come to see if subtlety can arise. — 9 years ago
