Drinking the 1991 in 2016 after over 2 hours of decanting. Wonderful light sherry type nose with a hint of pepper and quite brick red colour around the edges. Such a soft texture on the tongue though still a little astringency on the finish. Very good. — 11 years ago

2013 vintage. At Costa Navarino, Greece. Medium lemon hue. On the nose, quite complex - lemon curd, chalky minerality, honeysuckle. On the palate, a little fat, medium acidity, medium plus concentration and fairly long finish. The mineral nature of the wine is more apparent on the mid palate. Very enjoyable. Decided now would be a good time to try out out the 2013 Prisoner. While not as good as the 2011 the structure is different, showing a ton of black pepper and balsamic on the nose with a little bit of violet flowers, and a very lovely, elegant finish. Big bold red and black fruits give way to a lush, black peppery back end. The finish is shorter than expected but still nice. This is still a good wine, just not as good as previous vintages. — 11 years ago
