I've done a Spanish Cava and Jazz night before but Jazz and Shiraz was new for me. And it was absolutely perfect on a chilly Perth evening at @tartscafe with a beaut bottle like this.

Deep seductively sexy shade of red in the glass (good one @towardmusic). Rich aromas of warm sweet berries and is just plain intoxicating on the nose. It caresses the palate with alluring tannins and flavours of mulberries, chocolate and a nice black pepper & berry zing which carries on well into the night. $42 a bottle at Tarts and it's also organic & vegan. Bracing acidity that seems reminiscent of a Barolo underneath a core of beautiful pure fruit. Red berries and black plum with a bit of apple and rosehips. There's a bit of spicy complexity just starting to peek out. I expect this to peak nicely in two years. — 11 years ago
