Always going to be the highlight of the Wynns tasting and only made in years where the fruit quality and vintage conditions were exceptional. Sue Hodder said everything fell into place in 2015 and she made one of her best ever Riddochs. From less than 1% of Wynns available Cabernet fruit. Latent power on nose and palate with black fruits and balanced oak. At least a 30 year future but so balanced you could happily drink this now but one should wait at least 10 years for its charms to start showing through. A brilliant 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. — 6 years ago
Blackcurrant (little bit sweet) smell and taste. Little bit bitter, peppery. — 6 years ago
Dark fruits, chocolate, some pepper. — 7 years ago
Great balance and body. Just-ripe fruit. — 7 years ago
Incredibly tasty. Big but remarkably light on its feet. Viognier really lifts it up. Pretty insane for the dollas. — 8 years ago

Very different experience from typical reds. Dry, light, very clean. Good try for cab lovers. — 5 years ago
Really tasty. Smooth, not too dry. Easy to drink. Really great finish. This will become a part of the rotation. — 5 years ago
A treat. Dark in color, slightly cloudy. A powerful nose with dark, very mouton fruit. Incredibly aromatic, blackcurrant, mint, graphite, dried herbs, eucalyptus. The palate is extraordinary. So dense and powerful for a wine of almost 70 years. Dark fruit with a savory undertow- leather, thyme, sour cherry, dark chocolate. Really precise flavors and long. After an hour or two in glass there’s notes of coconut and soft wood. Extraordinary. Clearly there’s a lot of age on this but the sheer quality makes for a really dynamic wine. An exceptional bottle, and a teal treat. — 6 years ago
Wow. Went perfectly with my Christmas Eve New York Strip with truffled paccheri & Cheese. Soooo smooth but with great tannin - very necessary for the marble in the meat. Huge cab grape. Little bit of blackberry and a lot of chocolate. Yum. Note: I decanted two hours in advance. — 6 years ago
Cherry and spice at the end. California. — 7 years ago
Very nice with my BT Steak. — 8 years ago
I was skeptical at first...inky black and 15.3 ABV, but the wine is well balanced with plenty of freshness and lift. Just the ticket with tonight's daube de boeuf. — 8 years ago
Really opened up after an hour. Loved it! — 9 years ago
Very good Pinot Noir and reasonably priced. — 11 years ago

Very drinkable and nicely balanced. Nice cherry notes. Great wine for drinkers that aren’t into the heavier tannins of the stronger reds. — 5 years ago

Great flavor upfront with an easy finish. Another everyday wine in our house. — 9 years ago
The splashy label gave me pause and I approached with caution, but once I tasted, I was hooked. Fruity and warm without being a fruit bomb. Strong finish with stewed fruit and a hint of star anise. I would enjoy this all night solo hit it begs for food. — 9 years ago
