I've been looking for that $30 bottle that outshines any other - I think I've found it. Parker calls this the benchmark for fronsac and a sleeper of the vintage.. The nose is gorgeous with notes of vanilla, coffee bean, lilac, and lavender. On the palate, it's supple and enticing with sweet strawberries, chewy vanilla and oak, chocolate covered cherries and a velvety kirsch finish. Yup, it's good. — 11 years ago
Extremely floral, lavender, lilac. Initial oxidation blew off & a fruity, silky (and-slightly-spicy) palate emerged. Impressive for sure at 7. — 11 years ago
Delicious. Lilac, blueberry, olives and dark fruit in the nose. Big mouthful of fruit and acidity. Smooth finish. — 11 years ago
Very floral with lilac, Apple blossom. Mango, pineapple, and slightly rubbery character. High acidity, long finish, — 11 years ago
Aromas of strawberries, apricot and honeysuckle. Tastes like it smells, but also has a bit of lilac on the palate, beautifully dry, balanced rosé. #groupnotes by Ohadd, Elise, Amy, Garett and Sylvie — 11 years ago
💜💜💜💜Northern Argentina. Extreme vineyard. Ridiculously allocated, and saved for a special occasion...Malbec and Cab make nice, offer up astringent but beautifully smooth tannins, black plum-cassis, pink peppercorn, gun flint, blue smoke, lilac and cocoa. Long finish. *A rare treat* (🐂🐂and yes, had this w/ steak) — 12 years ago
2008 Vintage. Dark ruby red in the glass. The nose offers up lilac, high toned cherry, strawberry preserves, chamomile tea and clay. Black raspberry, & shortbread burst onto the palate, but this wine is all about texture. Very rich, polished, texture that has bright acidity to bring this wine full circle. Very fun and complex wine. — 11 years ago

Sweet integrated wood on the nose. Good structure with sweet fruit and lovely lilac internal aromatics. Drinkable but needs a couple of years to fully integrate. A feminine hermitage. — 11 years ago
Delish. Tons of lilac and wild flowers on the nose. Layers of blueberry in the mouth and a long pretty finish. Very new world Syrah but so well done! — 11 years ago

Smells of lilac and ash - finishes blackberry. Very dry. Never quite had anything like this.. Learning about the landscape of the area helps you imagine how it came to be. — 11 years ago
