Les Grand Chais Des Cotes Du Rhône

Alain Jaume & Fils

Domaine Grand Veneur Les Champauvins Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend 2020

9.3

Drinking with Mom, Dad, and Emily in France at Alain Jaume! Color is more red with a slight orange tinge. Nose is much sweeter, stewed red fruit with some leather and spice and maybe vanilla? Dry and very round, quite nice. Apparently right on the other side of the road from CNDP. Very good. Very very good. Exceptional Cotes Du Rhone — 2 years ago

Chapelle St. Theodoric

Le Grand Pin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2017

9.5

Smells like Piedmont with its leather, tar, mint and balsamic aromas. The fruit has the body and the weight of Rhone, but also has excellent acidities and tannin structure. Has the unique sense of uniformity and integrity, uncompromising energy, unforced intensity and elegance without artificiality rare in Rhone. Lot of Chateauneuf du Pape are not much better than the best Cotes du Rhone’s, this is significantly superior to most in terms of the finesse, purity and structure. Without any doubt one of the greatest wine in Southern Rhone. — 5 years ago

Love cdp, and even though this one is reasonable, I still prefer vacqeyras and cotes du rhone. — 10 years ago
