Very elegant, soft, rich fruit. Gorgeous. Soft, brown sugar. Perfectly ready to drink. Tons of structure and zip and a very long finish. Orange peel note on the finish. Perfect. Difford's Guide: "Single distilled from a blend of Ugni Blanc and Baco 22A grape varieties grown on Delord's own Bas region vineyards. Aged in Delord's cellars for a minimum of 25 years.

Appearance: Clear, golden amber.
Aroma: Boatyard varnish, overripe banana, prunes, spicy black treacle and floor wax.
Taste: Old-school muscular style of Armagnac which is well-rounded with good rancio. Stewed prunes, walnut, cinnamon, dried fruit and fruitcake.
Aftertaste: Long dry biscuity finish with lingering treacle. Heavy but easy drinking.

So rich I savored every exquisite sip! Deep golden hue. After 18 months in oak it's pure butter smooth, styled more like a Chassagne-Montrachet--opulent! ...& quite different from classic Chablis. From the first pour, the air filled with its luscious bouquet of butter, pineapple & ripe mango...raising the glass one finds pine nuts toasting, pear, and later the buttery-vanilla-apple of a freshly baked tarte tatin coming out of the oven.
