2005. Astonishing development thru 2 hours drinking. Heavy toasted oak n blueberry jam n hint of violet led me think of Chilean or Ribeira drl douro. Later tannin comes I assured that it is an old world. Then shut down. Cabernet nose comes at the end. The first haut medoc changes radically that I enjoyed so much. Must be the vintage. While 2006 was a tough year for bourdeaux, this Medoc was a pretty wine, very drinkable. Inky w/ clear berry fruit with middle of the road tannins. Nice meat with a bit of smoke after. — 11 years ago
