Pretty much always yum yum with a bit of age — 4 years ago
Still not worth the price but really great — 4 years ago
Almost too sweet, but smooth, rich and golden. — 6 years ago
Amazingly rich with delicate bubbles. Full of ripe pear, apple pastry, creme brûlée, toffee, and a touch of cheese rind. The acid is present enough to offset the richness. This is a tête I would buy again! — 7 years ago
This is finally old enough to have unwound and now it shows its true volume and depth. Drinkable now for scads of beautifully ripe fruit, but nowhere near maturity. — 8 years ago
I can't see myself liking and enjoying a Chardonnay any more than this one. Butter. Recommended by Bryan Smith, wine director at Woodward Table. — 10 years ago
The most hyper-masculine wine I’ve had in a while, this is deep, dark, roasted fruit, strong coffee, cigar, roasted meat, and smoke on the nose and it doubles down in the mouth with structure you don’t expect for under $30. Not an everyday style, but interesting tonight. — 4 years ago
I liked it but too sweet for Warren — 5 years ago
Monday evening Rosé.... why not! Lovely notes of strawberry, super refreshing. Purchased from #MadameClaudeW — 6 years ago

Green fruit on the nose (pear and green apple). Very nice crisp finish — 9 years ago
Great honey, raisin, and lemon notes on the palate. Very giving on the nose. Sweet with high acidity — 9 years ago
Pears, caramel and vanilla cream. — 10 years ago
A very interesting wine. A very difficult vintage that the winemaker addressed with stupid low yields. If you love wine, a great wine to drink to see how a very good winemaker handled a rough year in non elite terroir. His 1er crus were sick in 17.
Nose is purplish. Dark. Swirling. Sexy. But a bit Brutish but in a sexy way.
Palate is dark fruit. Very very dense for a wine at this level. Very. The fruit outweighs the acidity although it’s not stewy at present.
I’d drink this now. It might peak in 6-12 months. But I have no idea. My gut is the far side of the mountain is steep. But man this is an effing fun drink today. If you have a bunch of save one for a few years just to see what happens. Science baby.

Golden raisins, boytaris funk, dried pineapple. On the lighter side for Sauternes, but super enjoyable. Tropical and candied lemon. — 5 years ago
Started highly perfumed and floral in the glass but rapidly lost the bouquet. But in the mouth, mmmm. Juicy, acid, tense, round, bit of salt. Really came together well. — 6 years ago
Fresh and sweet. A lovely glass any time. — 7 years ago
Nice and light! — 9 years ago
Very nice and balanced right bank. Bright acidity comparatively and bold with plenty of flavors to enjoy. Pairs well with chocolate tart with a raspberry sauce. — 9 years ago
Big wine! Will write again in a bit — 10 years ago
