Les Débonnaires 2011 – Chinon de Luc Sebille


Qui ne nous jalouse pas ce soir aurait bien tord. Qui n’a jamais goûté Les Débonnaires devrait en faire de suite une des priorités de sa vie ou, à défaut, de la fin de cette semaine. Il y a des choses qui dépassent leur statut, et ce Chinon fait partie de ces choses qui nous font dire que le vin…c’est souvent autre chose que du vin.

La dégustation :

Réduit à l’ouverture et légèrement perlant, ce Cabernet Franc issu d’un sol argilo-calcaire ne met pas longtemps à révéler tout son potentiel. Au nez : le cassis remplit l’espace olfactif et laisse percevoir des accents de feuilles et de mousse sur une légère pointe de framboise poivronée. C’est top !

En bouche : les sensations sont belles, c’est soyeux et fruité et le charme opère immédiatement c’est rond, facile avec ce qu’il faut de matière et de longueur. Un très bel équilibre en somme, sans lourdeur, tout en étant désaltérant. Une buvabilité parfaite ! Vous l’aurez compris, si vous croisez Les Débonnaires, faites-en votre affaire !

On avait aussi adoré le vin de pause 2010, un superbe Chinon, qu’on vous conseille vivement !

Profitons-en aussi pour rappeler la définition de débonnaire, que beaucoup d’entre-nous ne connaissent pas :

On dit d’une personne « débonnaire » qu’elle est bienveillante, humble et généreuse : avec une tendance à se montrer secourable et favorable à autrui.

C’est ce qu’on lit sur la contre-étiquette de cette bouteille et tout porte à croire que Luc Sebille n’est pas étranger à cette définition . — 11 years ago

When you open a Lapierre you know you are going to have a good time. A gourmet wine with immediate pleasure as the Beaujolais floods know how to produce. Here we are dealing with one of the great artisans of natural wine without the inconvenience that this type of wine sometimes produces. It is a magnificent expression of Gamay, with volume, depth, relief. the nose is just wow! The mouth is incredibly charming .. to (re) discover.

Quand on ouvre un Lapierre on sait qu’on va passer un bon moment.. Vin gourmand au plaisir immédiat comme les crues du Beaujolais savent le produire. Ici nous avons à faire à l’un des grands artisans-historique du vin nature sans les désagréments que ce type de vins produisent parfois. C’est une magnifique expression du gamay, avec du volume, de la profondeur, du relief. le nez est juste wow! La bouche est d’un charme fou.. à (re)découvrir. — 4 years ago

What a charme this wine is. The color is ruby to brownish at the rim. The nose is quite open with strawberries, prunes, spices and forest floor.
In the mouth the wine has medium high acidity, medium tannins and medium alcohol.
The taste ranges from cherries, violet, underbrush and spices with a hint of gamey taste.
This wine is still very powerfull but elegant. Many layers and the taste lingers. I would have like it to stay longer but the overall experience was very enjoyable. — 7 years ago

this 0.84ha slice is the immediate uphill neighbour of romanée conti.
medium intense nose of cherry, raspberry, chocolate, cherry liqueur, wood, traces of tea.
drinking it even makes more sense - high end tannins, minerality, ever long finish...
besides that firm and still youthful structure i'm missing some tension and playful charme...

"Full deep red. Subtle, aromatically compelling nose of bitter cherry, raspberry, minerals and licorice, along with a distinct aspect of menthol austerity. Tightly wound, cool and backward, with the wine powerful minerality and structure currently dominating.
