Quite light but plenty of flavour. Lovely. — 9 years ago
Light, lovely communicative Pinot-- Vocal and fruit forwarded with candor and conviction... Not a surprise with this winemaker and vineyard master.. This Pinot announces itself and charms at the same time.. One of those Pinots that possesses the senses. Illusionary, beautifully bizarre, animated and theatrical. — 10 years ago
A Wood taste but still light. Perfect for summer — 11 years ago

It's a big savoury beast! Awesome tannin, great structure with bright fruit. Has that Bannockburn stink. Will mellow well with some age under it's belt. Deeeelicious — 11 years ago
Wonderful spicy, fruit and Garrigue that can only be found in the Languedoc. $16 in BC — 12 years ago
Lurid magenta. Expansive aromas of mineral-tinged red berries, incense and cola, joined by a suave floral nuance as the wine opens up. Appealingly sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy raspberry, cherry, spicecake and candied licorice flavors that are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes smooth and long, with gentle tannins and lingering floral pastille and star anise notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2019)

Very funky on the nose. Mushrooms and forrest floor. Flavors are unique and very complex. Syrah for weirdos. Pretty interesting, — 9 years ago
Wonderfully funky, damp, like walking through wet, mossy woods on a gray fall day. Second day drinking reminded me of a damp, unfinished cellar. On closeout at Portalis... wonder if I could get another couple bottles? — 10 years ago
Great with grilled salmon and asparagus!

At home tonight enjoying this wine with a pork stew. The wine showed very well tonight and looking forward to future bottles. 41% Grenache, 32% Mourvèdre, 19% Syrah & 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. No sign that this vintage has peaked. — 6 years ago
