Tasted from magnum, the 2004 Grande Cuvée Rosé Alexandra, Laurent-Perrier’s flagship Rosé is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir (on the skins) and 20% Chardonnay vinified together that has only been bottled seven times since 1982. From the very first taste, the 2004 is utterly spectacular. Rich, ample and vertical in feel, the 2004 is dazzling. Dried rose petal, star anise, tobacco, dried flowers, red berry fruit and earthy notes all grace this utterly exquisite Champagne. As good as the 2004 is today – and it is fabulous – it will be even better in another few years’ time. The 2004 has been nothing short of magnificent on both occasions I have tasted it so far. Lovely bubbles for boyfriend’s birthday. A hint of brioche up front, with solid tropical fruit in the middle, rounding off with a medium body and tiny bubbles. The perfect finish. — 8 years ago
Strawberries in a good way! Medium body, smooth, great value. — 8 years ago
Light, pretty dry for a rosé. Strawberries, melon, grapefruit. From 7th Avenue Liquors. — 9 years ago
Great drinking wine for summer. Nice and light with a crisp finish - excellent dry rose. #thesecretwineclub #loirevalley — 10 years ago
Great acid, a bit oxydized, apple start gives way to peach and pear notes. — 10 years ago
Ruby red color with a watery rim. Hint of large game blood, wet earth, and fresh dark cherries on the scent. Ripe dark fruit up front, sweet almost; followed by stern tannings and a dry finish. A young wine, medium body, almost light alcohol but with lots of character yet easy drinking. Unassuming wine, extremely enjoyable. One of those, great all-around, Southern Rhône blends... — 6 years ago

Very light and a bit funky. Served slightly chilled and it was great — 7 years ago
I’m a total noob to sparkling wine, but I absolutely love this. — 8 years ago
Raspberry, coffee torréfaction, black fruit and dark chocolate. Perfect acidity giving a full mouth feel. — 9 years ago
My rating doesn't give enough credit for how easy this is to absolutely love. Pretty sure j could drink a whole bottle in short order. Might have to try to do so sometime! — 10 years ago
Even an astute som would think this was a 20+ year old Bordeaux in a blind tasting. The color is pigeon blood and the wine is perfectly balanced. The nose has lots of wet loam and minerality. On the palate this wine is mellow, well rounded and chewy with a hint of port wine flavor on the finish. — 10 years ago
Another delicious #rarecreature from the Forlorn Hope wine folks @Matthew Rorick This reminds me of a Cabernet Franc meets a Pinot Noir, purple floral and stone aromatics, with juicy fresh raspberry, cherry, a touch of savory and spice. #stlaurent — 10 years ago
Complex nose with dark fruit, cocoa, and graphite...palate is lush with plum, spice, and a touch of smoke. Generous tannins lengthen the finish...a classic CdP. — 11 years ago
Always love a good Champagne! — 12 years ago
St Laurent? Say no more. This varietal always steals my heart but I’ve only had it sparkling once before. Pleasant like a nice summer day, it’s fresh and lively, clean and bright. — 6 years ago
a real nature wine without artifice Syrah only. after aeration of two hours, notes of black fruit blueberry violet, prune, olive. dense and floral. generous and rich, in simplicity. A lot of pleasure — 6 years ago
Really nice fruity gamay. Unfined and unfiltered wine gives this a unique body and texture for a gamay. — 7 years ago

I love these wines so much, the 13 is great, but seems to be a challenging vintage. — 10 years ago
Smooth with a great finish. Excellent with cheese and cured hams. Will definitely go back for more at under $7. — 10 years ago
Lovely Burgundy for those looking for body without being overblown. At $39, a great value for a wine at peak. — 11 years ago
The Campari to Beauroy's Cynar, which I think is the opposite of critical predictions. This one took a few hours to blossom, unlike it's eagerly profound counterpart, but got to an awesome zone of beeswax and richness, with quite a mineral kick. Great wine! This bottle would probably beat its friend in a few years. — 12 years ago

Easy drinking and pairs easily with a variety of food. Has a little zip to it. — 6 years ago
