This 100 degree heat wave called for a Txakolina flight! Freshly cut, pungent lime, aromatic lime peel, lemon flowers, and the familiar bite of Txakolina's mouthwatering acidity. Slight effervescence and salinity pairs it perfectly with a Cordobes cheese recommendation from @Lauren Vance! — 8 years ago
Really awesome. Lauren loved this one. It paired so nicely with our lamb chops and arugula salad. Light on tannin. — 9 years ago

Got for Christmas from Lauren. Had to refrigerate opened bottle for 3-4 days. Still excellent. — 11 years ago
Sample from Estate. Deep and clear yellow, love this wine from the start, so visually appealing. Beautifully complex nose that started off with a little bit of oak influence, toasted nuts. Layers created the complexity with notes of stone fruits, and some citrus, almost like a lemon curd. Day two the nose got a little sappier, as in thicker and dark with some honeysuckle. Moderate acidity (6.5/10) and full bodied. Creamy mid palate with vanilla bean and honeysuckle in the front. Long finish that brings through a more Burgundy feel with lemon and a little minerality. Absolutely delicious and killer value for only $25.00. Drink now or enjoy till 2023. — 7 years ago
Stood its ground next to '08 Aubert Lauren. Buttery, tropical sweet fruit with a very long finish. Very harmonious. Wish I had more. — 8 years ago

Second wine we are trying tonight and the same name as my mom. Garnet red with a crimson core. Nose started off with a slight smokiness that wore off to plums, dark cherries, and some light strawberries. Very interesting undertone of thick and creamy dark cocoa. Slight baking spices on the palate with some dark cherries and plums. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) with a strong structured body. Slight dryness to the finish. Definitely needs a couple years to fully integrate and becoming a stunning WA Bordeaux. Drink from 2017 till 2028. 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. — 8 years ago
