Pretty dry not bad for a cheaper wine — 8 months ago
Better and more complex than prior years. Amber color. Floral notes. Juicy acidity and somewhat dry. Grapefruit and mineral dominant on opening but after 30 min balanced with pear, honeydew, grapefruit, and slightly Chardonnay-like buttery oak softness. — 2 years ago

Nice. Melon nose, tasty. — 5 years ago
Delicious with grilled ribeye. Fresh but rich berries aromas. Dusty in the mouth. Elegant tannin. Acidity is so nice in this wine to be paired with fatty ribeye. Juicy int a bit sweet ever so slightly in the back. Layered and complex. — 7 years ago
16% abv. Blend of 35% Syrah 65% Zin. Beautiful. Slightly past prime or prime! Glad it was opened now. — 6 months ago
The nose bursts and fills the room with strawberry and spiced dark cherry aroma. The palace pops with a dense fruit forward and mild spiciness. I would have thought it was primarily a Zinfandel but the label says no - it only has Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The finish is moderately long and well balanced. I lean towards more earthy old world earthy profiles and this is a much more new world fruit forward wine than I prefer. — 10 months ago

Decided to go to Ruth's Chris this evening for SF Restaurant Week and had this wine off their list. It was a nice surprise given I had never heard of it but how can you say no to Carignan! — 9 years ago
Consistently very good. Approachable on opening with flavor and complexity similar to prior years but overall smoother this vintage. — 7 months ago
Exceptional on opening. Nose of dark berries and spice. Palate with complex of spiciness, juiciness, black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, & plum. Balanced low intensity tannins with lingering finish. — 2 years ago
Bright floral nose. Spicy tingle and mouthwatering acidity with dark fruit, fig, blackberries on the palate. Autumn bark with moderate lingering tannins on the finish. Extremely well balanced yet bold throughout the experience. My favorite MDO Syrah vintage to date. — 3 years ago
