Extremely smokey, strong, intense. Literally drinking a coal water. But I liked it. :) — 8 years ago
Sour cherry, some plum, Oak, and a beautiful tar-esque finish that reminds me of an Islay single malt (getting Laphroaig flashbacks). Italy has always been where I've had a under $40 red that absolutely floored me with quality and exremely interesting non fruit primary flavours/aromas....this is no different. — 9 years ago

A drink with character. Good balance with depth and with slight smokiness. — 9 years ago
Beavertown Smog Rocket Smoked Porter. A dark stout with a light body. The smoked finished is similar to a castrated Laphroaig whisky. It's like having a Guinness and a whisky in each sip, awesome! — 10 years ago
Good-bye Triple Wood, hello old Friend. — 11 years ago
The Laphroaig of rum. Distilled only from pot stills and naturally fermented from native yeasts. The result is a high-ester rum of unparalleled complexity, and an authentic rendition of 19th century Jamaican rum. The flavors are assertive and work well in tandem with dark Jamaican rum in cocktails. Perhaps best appreciated with lemon juice, Demerara syrup, angostura bitters, over ice. — 8 years ago
Best Islay scotch I've had! This is coming from an avid fan of Lagavulin. It has a maple bouquet with notes of a burning campfire. Taste is very complex with massive amounts of peat, burnt wood and extraordinary yet subtle sweetness. The finish is long and malty. If you like Laphroaig, you will find a new favorite scotch. Located just down the coast from the Laphroaig distillery this scotch is a best buy at around 70$ at your local liquor store. — 9 years ago

Pale straw in color. Wet newspaper, cement, iodine, charcoal, peat, barley, sherry, rubber hose, and even dew on a wet golf course. Hot mouthfeel, but very well balanced. Long finish! Islay to the next level! — 8 years ago
