Sour cherry, some plum, Oak, and a beautiful tar-esque finish that reminds me of an Islay single malt (getting Laphroaig flashbacks). Big and smokey, but not as much as a Laphroaig or Lagavulin. More subtle, and almost a hint of sweetness. I'm enjoying this with s'mores cheesecake and the accompanying smokiness is really reminding me of a campfire. Very enjoyable. — 8 years ago

Best Islay scotch I've had! This is coming from an avid fan of Lagavulin. It has a maple bouquet with notes of a burning campfire. Taste is very complex with massive amounts of peat, burnt wood and extraordinary yet subtle sweetness. The finish is long and malty. If you like Laphroaig, you will find a new favorite scotch. Located just down the coast from the Laphroaig distillery this scotch is a best buy at around 70$ at your local liquor store. — 9 years ago
