Deep, smoky, earthy nose. Aromas of plum, black pepper, black olive, cocoa powder, tar and dried herbs. Surprisingly young and fresh on the palate. Flavors of black cherries and plums lead to dark flavors of dusty, dried herbs, earth and a touch of tar balanced by striking acidity. The finish is long and smooth with just a hint of spice and drying tannins. Reminiscent of a wonderful Tuscan red. — 9 years ago
Smooth, clean, not oaky. — 9 years ago
Bought at Landmark Wine & Sake after work one day. I wanted a wine to go with dessert and this was perfect. — 10 years ago
Very Rhonelike. Sweaty feet on the nose, transitioning to barnyard and smoked meat on the palate. Medium to full bodied, but I wish it had a bit more weight. Fantastic, but not for everyone. This needs to be your thing. — 10 years ago

A flagship beauty from one of Napa's long-standing family wineries. Their historic old winery (originally built in 1886!) is a true Napa landmark. Badly damaged in the earthquake, our fingers are crossed and our glasses filled & raised for a speedy recovery. — 11 years ago

The key to any de Ladoucette wine is quality – in the vineyard, the winery and the bottle. The Baron de Ladoucette is dedicated to maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout his portfolio. His wines are made in the state-of-the art winery within the landmark Château du Nozet, and de Ladoucette’s four Loire Valley labels: Pouilly Fumé de Ladoucette, Comte Lafond, La Poussie, and Marc Bredif, are considered to be some of the finest examples of their type. — 12 years ago

A True Classic, if you are into Belgium beers, you know this brew, there are better ones out in the last 15 years or so, but this like many early American craft breweries is a landmark in the beer world — 11 years ago

Re-review of this classic landmark beer, why? New label, new description on label, this was and still is such a important beer in the craft beer Community, brewed since 1997 and still stands as one of the best IPA' s in the world, Centennial, Chinook and Magnum hops give it that classic base of West Coast IPA, that started the whole IPA movement in other beers and breweries, this was the beer that set the stage for what is now the great IPA 's in the west and east coast, such a monumental and important beer, The influence cannot be understated, still as I said, it holds its place as a great beer today — 9 years ago
Sweet but not too much so. Nice fruity flavor. Bought at Landmark Wine & Sake because I wanted something to drink after work/with dinner but not break the bank. Jush also liked it (he prefers sweet wines). — 10 years ago

$57.99/46.39 good with food. More mild, not too tart or acidic. Tatting we saved Paris by pleading with the Germans not to blow up the historical landmark. Domaine Carneros in California is a Tattinger estate. — 11 years ago
