doesn't have the drop dead gorgeous polish of a fine burgundy, or even a cote rotie in its prime, but there's something about this that gets in your blood -- a rawness in the way the chewy tannin is still not quite integrated and the deep utter darkness of the nose.... like a long bike ride through the backwood mountains of west virginia... untamed, wild — 8 years ago
Love this Chenin Blanc we discovered last summer on a bike ride. Great value too. — 9 years ago

A little new bike tire on first taste, but opens up to honey and melon and general tastiness. — 11 years ago
Reminds me of a Mountain Bike ride during the fall in Park City. Decaying Forrest floor, dried leaves, lavender, violets. Red and blue fruits, allspice, beautiful (yet) heavy integration of oak, persistent finish. Best wine I've tasted this year (Feb 21, '14) — 11 years ago
Honey on the tip of my tongue and tart apple on the finish. Chenin Blanc is a new grape for me, and this really hits the spot. Perfect summer wine -- wish I had discovered it sooner. This nicely alleviates the aches and pains from my bike ride. Vino di Vino. — 8 years ago

The 2001 is in a perfect place! Silky tannins dark brooding cherry and dries raspberry aromas. Hint of spring lilacs bush....the scent you pick when on a spring bike ride. Where the aromas present themselves before the 'the bush' is spotted — 10 years ago
This has become one of my favourite wines.
