This is the 2010 Yalumba Signature Series Cabernet Shiraz named in honour of Yalumba Ambassador Jane Ferrari who is holding the bottle next to me. Jane travels the world spruiking the Gospel of Yalumba in the most entertaining and knowledgeable way. This was an outstanding Cabernet Shiraz Blend. Equal in quality and cellaring potential to Penfolds Bin 389. Blackberry and chocolatey tannins. Sweet berry fruit still with noticeable oak and a long cellaring potential. A classic wine for a classic lady who would get a job in Stand up Comedy if she wasn’t so good at her current job!!! @Delectable — 8 years ago

Super creamy, and mouthfilling notes of lady apple, citrus fruits, white flowers and star fruits — 8 years ago
Strawberry jam essence followed by a hint of dustiness on the nose. The open is soft with some light tannins. — 9 years ago
Nutty and warm bread notes on first wiff, baked apple and pear follow nicely. Rich round mouthfeel gives a touch of lively medium acidity and ties the mirroring nose and palate together with a warm vanilla finish that lingers seductively like perfume in a room moments after a lady departs. ( probably my cheesiest description yet! 😜) — 10 years ago
An elegant, feminine style, lovely smoky pencil lead and cassis jam, touches of tobacco leaf and root beer. Elegant and mineral, med+ weight, plenty of smoky dark fruit and lead, reasonable acidity and very supple, refined tannin. Easygoing on the finish, a classy lady for the medium term. — 11 years ago
My palate was perfectly primed for this experience...finally! The lady of Gramenon has slapped me in the face with her mineral wand many a time and I have loved it, but this was what I was always looking for. Had all the good characteristics of a very well aged soft warm voluptuous Chateauneuf with a SICK mineral streak for support and depth. That mineral streak has always fucked me up in the past, overpowering my mouth and blocking me from orgasm with this wine. This time we both win. — 11 years ago
Chocolate, coffee, purple fruit — 13 years ago
Warm & elegant with blueberries & cassis, a fresh whiff of violets plus an attractive earthy-herby tone in the background.
On the palate this is fresh with pure fruit, velvety, mouth coating tannins and a minty accent toward the long finish. The 14.5% alc is impeccably integrated.
This is pure hedonistic drinking pleasure, without overdoing it and retaining a elegant frame. A perfect match for a flank steak in black pepper sauce. — 5 years ago
Pineapple nose, dry and fruity. Nice acid. — 5 years ago
Sourced from the esteemed Seven Hills Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley, this Viognier opens with a ripe bouquet of white peach, vanilla cream and suggestions of honey and apricot. The palate shows notable viscosity and tension, with nectarine, Pink Lady apple, green papaya and honeydew melon flavors all buiding up to the finish. Drink 2019-2025- 92 — 7 years ago
Creamy and rich. Golden in color. A nice way to finish off a long day of moving! — 8 years ago
Purchased this 2008 Owen Roe Syrah about 7 years ago from Atlantic Wine, a sort of innocuous wine merchant in North Buckhead Atlanta. I do remember it shared a building with an upscale outdoors outfitter (Yeti, Patagonia, North Face, etc...) along with a large Goodwill Store/Donation Center. I always kick myself for not going in that Goodwill, and imagine it was an treasure trove of never used luxury camping gear. Instead, I opted for whatever mix of First Growth Bordeaux was in stock at Atlantic, which inevitably left me a bottle short of a 10% discount, thus resulting in this purchase, and later to be stashed away in the back and bottom of the cellar. I had completely forgot about this ghost bottle until tonight. Despite the wax seal, I still was slightly concerned that it might be past its prime, so I pulled the cork... An exotic, but pure cacao that’s pleasantly unforgiving, and cautiously allows in some lush blueberry compote, along with finocchiona rolled in fresh cracked pepper with thyme, tarragon, and lavender. Could certainly last another 5-7 years, but it’s too stunningly beautiful now to resist. — 8 years ago
Great lazy summer day drinking kind of wine. It is refreshing, the flavour isn't too bold, not to sweet and goes down smooth. Cute name too and beautiful blush colour. — 9 years ago
Light, earthy.. Best greek wine I've tasted — 11 years ago
Hint of sandalwood luscious velvety amazing — 11 years ago
2006 vintage - from an Australian perspective, hard to come to grips with the concept of aged SB, but here it is. This is good, actually really good - very Loire IMO — 11 years ago
Aromas of dark black fruits - blackberry, plum, blueberry. Bold and big, with soft integrated tannins that draw you into the inner sanctum of the grape varietal. A tinge of age at the ends, but not in the fore front. Nice lovely finish lasting over 30 seconds before it breaks down. Definitely at its peak of performance. Paired well with the bolognese. Even better with the veal chop with figs, pluots, and watermelon radish. As Elizabeth says, this is a gorgeous wine. “It’s a grown up, but not old”. Or as I like to say, like a 40 year old classy lady wearing an evening gown and pearls - just stunning! — 5 years ago
Pop and pour, wine shows fantastic out of the gate. Insanely dark, inky in the glass. Wonderful nose with loads of vanilla oak and a hint of pepper with a slight alcohol burn. First taste far exceeds expectation. Velvety tannin l, the vanilla note shines in this wine (which works wonderfully) for the price this wine is amazing. A Calistoga wine for the price and quality is almost unheard of in this day and age. Defiantly seek it out. — 7 years ago

Big, built and viscous. Almost as if the fruit needs a bit more help with the tannins to balance it out. Decanted for an hour to take the edge off the ‘15 but ended up with a largely over-oaked finish. After the fruit-forward approach. Very good and solid wine... just me picking the pepper out of the fly sh*t. Sill a solid buy. — 8 years ago
Vintage 2007 - autumn leaves, mocca, mushrooms, cedar, mature Lady from curious #carignano grape. Absolutely a wine with elegance. But nowhere middle of the road 😯 authentic beauty from #sardinia — 8 years ago

Not ever sure why the 61 vintage sells at or even above Petrus price as I've never had it but rest of the old vintages are just lovely and relatively a bargain! This bottle had all the nuances and elegance of a fine lady at ease with oneself. Love it! — 10 years ago
100% Syrah - Red Willow Vineyard - juicy tannins, lots of dark fruit, coats the mouth, peppery on the back with a contemplative finish. Will buy again. — 11 years ago
Unforgettable taste. Like a young naughty young lady. It offers a refreshing black berry and green citrus? Notes. It's as distinctive as if its just picked and washed. U tasted the freshness and the earthy sun. It's spontaneous energy as if it fits rightly in the hand of a young lady spending the afternoon by herself either reading the book or just hanging around in the library in a breezy summer afternoon. — 13 years ago

Popped and poured after the Gonet-Medeville BdN 1er. This is also mostly Pinot Noir however with 20% Chardonnay. Comparatively, this pours a more pale color, again with a persistent mousse. Aromas of white flowers (specifically citrus blossom), white peach, and ever so lightly toasted brioche. On the palate, white peach, pink lady apple, lemon and minerals. Good acid. Long finish. Lovely texture. This came across as a noticeably more rich, refined, and elegant Champagne and it made a beautiful pairing with my selection of Mussels Dijonnaise. Disgorged August 21, 2018
