Toasted almond, cinnamon, and toffee aromas. More of the same on the palate, with saline accents, a soft texture, and a long, savory finish. Delicious, and so cool to taste a little bit of history...an Oloroso from a solera that was started in 1826. — 9 years ago

A few days late in posting the Wednesday Wine Committee wines. Standard format with 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine. All served blind.

Fig, nutmeg, clove and rich mixed berry pie. Lots of similarities to port, but the finish never goes to the traditional graham cracker richness, and not as lengthy of a lingering finish. Lighter than expected, and definitely not super sweet. More similar to a heavily extracted cab with age. I guessed Napa Cab dessert wine. — 6 years ago
Dark juice yet light & fresh with a bit of barnyard on the nose. Enough tannin to pull you in with some dark fruits but the acidity makes it feel fresh~ Perfect with gochujang glazed ribs. — 6 years ago
