Nose of plums, forest floor with fresh fallen flower petals. Taste is of plums, black tea, Forest, raspberry, mushroom. I really like this. Opened up after an hour of pulling cork and really excellent after 2+. — 7 years ago
It was a close call against the 2009 Margaux, but what a fantastic wine! Everything you might seek in 1A Pauillac. — 8 years ago
Always delicious 😍🇫🇷🍾 — 9 years ago
CVed 12/29/16. As I remember it from years ago. Funky earthy notes and darker cherry notes that carry through to palate and long finish. Different wine from other three. Opened 1/21/17 at MRs dinner. Tasting the same. Crowd favorite. — 9 years ago

Loads of fruit. A note of dried apple skin. Close to perfection but there is still plenty of time left in this bottle. — 11 years ago

Nose is black cherry, plum, thyme, lavender, black pepper, and a touch of smoke. Pretty complex and inviting.
Palate opens with those black cherry/kirsch notes and then transitions to dried green herbs and medium acidity. Tannins are smooth and lend just enough dryness to keep it balanced. Good length with lingering plum skin.
Great little Rhone red with delicious approachable fruit and some nice spice subtlety. Where others at this price point (€11!) are austere or overly simple, this one delivers on deliciousness and complexity. The overall structure makes it quite drinkable too. — 7 years ago
Can’t get stop going after ‘15 Burgundy. Here, from one of region’s elite and from the fabulous Combe aux Moines vineyard, deeply flavored and beautifully perfumed, ripe black cherries, red raspberry, exotic spices and damp earth. The texture is luxurious and supple and the finish is long and seductive. 🔥 — 7 years ago
I was floored by the aromas coming from the glass, plums , tea, smoke , something green.. I wanted to stop there because I feared the palate could not come close to the nose. Boy was I wrong. Tannins obviously resolved but the acid was an eye-opener. Mushrooms , dark fruits, orange zest and figs . A lovely finish that was silk like. — 8 years ago
Only 130 cases made of this ethereal beauty. — 10 years ago
Not quite as good as the 2009, but close, deep inky fruit with good tannins, will likely improve more with age than the 09, overall good effort — 10 years ago
#fws2013 floral and long, very good — 11 years ago
Delicious! Nose reminds of white burg but there is a slight tropical tenderness and almost saline element that distinguishes. Definitely a baby but loving it — 12 years ago
Sexy fucking wine. Sexy is overused but I’d get in a hastily planned 3 month relationship with this wine that would end in bitter heartbreak. Gorgeous nose. Flowers, big cherries, lipstick vibe. Palate is ripe and opulent with lovely sucrosity and wonderful freshness. Silky tannins and great mouthfeel. Very 15 but also very alluring. Long finish. Wonderful mineral drive and very complex. Great today. — 7 years ago
Even though we brought spilts with us on our trip, I still missed it. There just aren’t many better starters to kickoff a weekend night. Cheers! 🥂
Many previous notes still apply.
The next time you have BSR as an aperitif and your are having red wine after, save some to close out your night. The BSR ascends from 1080p HD to OLED 4K on your palate. For that matter, any quality Champagne will do. — 7 years ago
Delicious, especially with sirloin steak and Billy!

Amazing stuff. Awesome balance, biscuit, light fruits, tight bubbles, and sits perfectly on the tongue. — 8 years ago

Amazing. Complex entry, medium to soft middle and the most amazing lemon, citrus and curd end. Almost like a delightful lemon chiffone or key lime. — 10 years ago

Fuller and grippier than I thought it would be. Very well balanced, nice earth and a little funk. Just liked the label ;) — 11 years ago
Golden apples and nuts. Lengthy finish. Almondy flor flavors highly present. vibrant with mashed autumn fruits and oak. — 12 years ago

This is my 3rd and the last bottle over the past year. It definitely sits at its plateau now and fully awake. Difficult to say when the drinking window will close down.
Lots of energy and precision. Cabernet Sauvignon dominant. Perfumed black currant jam with leaves. Complex tertiary aromas make a beautiful bouquet. Balance of tannins, fruits and acidity at its perfection. Tannins have soften but not yet faded away.
Undoubted 2nd Growth quality. — 6 years ago
