Just it's name #elixir then there's the #chartreuse factor. Just WOW! In France it's even sold in some pharmacies and I get that, but if this is medicine Mary Poppins, then give me more — 9 years ago
Absolutely classic Loire Chenin. Bruised red apple, wilted/rotting acacia petals, peach nectar, tangerine peel, limestone, herbal notes of chartreuse, cumin, and spearmint, plus a touch of "wet wool"--but fairly clean . Dry with good weight and a bit of apple skin bitterness, juicy acidity. Killer stuff for $18 retail. — 9 years ago
2012 - $40
Freaky wine! And so good!
Dried, candied fruit, apple pie, anise, chartreuse. Nice acidity! Great high-altitude gewürtz! — 10 years ago

Come in its tarragona! — 11 years ago
Getting to be fully secondary. Still a background of fruit. Drank at Ma Cuisine in Beaune followed by '65 Chartreuse so I may not be remembering correctly — 13 years ago
Light chartreuse color, dry and juicy. Apple and melon, faint citrus zest. Almost a salty, briney remnant. — 8 years ago

Like a prettier and softer yellow chartreuse. Delightful! — 9 years ago
Rather masculine with herbal quality that reminded me of old chartreuse, while being perfectly balanced and very long. Amazing wine. Layers of complexity. Tasted next to 1990 La Tache which was the feminine counterpart - and better QPR, which is a silly concept at this level.... — 10 years ago
Dry to medium white with a pink tinge. Very easy to drink with salmon or on its own. — 11 years ago
I wish this was cheaper but delicious. Smells like chartreuse and taste is concentrated and herbal. Think I'll be drinking this straight. — 11 years ago

Wow. This is incredible. The nose is phenomenal with soft red fruit, barnyardy crap (in a good way, I’m serious), and a sweet herbaciousness that is out of this world.. it reminds me of my favorite cocktail, The Last Word, where the green chartreuse sticks out. Palate is firm but balanced, chewy fruit. Awesome. — 8 years ago

Not Chartreuse Taragona , but truly fun. Like. Recommended for navigating the Camino Mallorquine — 9 years ago

Chartreuse revelation, courtesy of @Paul Einbund - the most gracious man in San Francisco 🔥🔥🔥 — 9 years ago
Full, herbal, ripe and oaky on the nose, obviously still young but more than ready to play. Odors of licorice and Fernet or Chartreuse come through. Thank goodness this has been open since yesterday, it almost certainly needed it. On the palate, bright cassis, wild strawberry and herbal liquor comes through with jasmine and finely structured tannins. Yumyumyum. — 10 years ago
