A favorite winery of mine... This one needs a little more bottle age, or a splash decant... A muted nose opened to crisp honeycomb apple, ginger root, and a toasty brioche character. Feels like bit of lees influence too. Round, layered, and soft on the palate with yellow apple, pear and melon rind. Bright acidity shines on the mid-palate with a limestone crouch to the finish. We had the 2013 Vintage on 2/21-22/20. Bright red fruit on the bouquet. Tart cherry, strawberry and pomegranate on the palate. Bright and acidic. Good but not great. — 6 years ago
