White Chateauneuf nic fruit balanced — 7 years ago
100% petit verdot. This followed the 2010 Bastide Saint-Dominique CdP, which provided the intended contrast in styles, but probably created unrealistic expectations. Immediately I was surprised at how old this wine smelled and tasted. (We decanted for an hour.) Interestingly it was evocative of a much, much older right bank Bordeaux than a 10 year old petit verdot. The harness of the grape is gone, and this is much more approachable that I would have guessed. This would no doubt confuse everyone in a blind tasting. — 8 years ago
Very nice, well balanced and ripe red fruit — 9 years ago
2009, Decanted briefly this 2009 unfiltered wine showed beautifully, more on the powerful than the elegant side, just in my zone :-)
The wine has a deep ruby color, a lavish nose of black fruits, red cherries, wet soil, sweet spices, licorice and dark chocolate, medium to full body, with nice tannins and lovely acidity, the finish is long ripe , delicious and tempting, one of those wines you never want to end.
My score 90, drink 2015-2024 — 9 years ago

Smells like the gauzy part of a band-aid caked with fresh-dried blood & hay. Totally into it. — 12 years ago
Very delicate; sweetness on palate. Amazing with desserts and even cheese pizzas. — 7 years ago
