This is how Chardonnay or ANY white wine should be. Crisp. But full bodied. But tasty. but I like it! — 8 years ago
Can't recall where I found this bottle, but happy to "rediscover" it deep in my cellar. Honeysuckle and Granny Smith apple still prevalent on the nose. Very nice at 18+ years. — 8 years ago
A great expression of Riesling. Funky at first but blew off to a really great wine. High acid, some RS & about As classic as you can get. — 10 years ago

Classic Kruger style with depth and richness — 7 years ago
Ripe sweet apple & peach balanced by razor sharp lemony acidity with a mineral flinty streak. Great balance & good length. Really lovely wine. — 7 years ago
Yum City. Population: Me, rn. Delicious sort of lemon drop candy and tropical fruits happening. Sugar and acid. Tasted great with Szechuan takeout and the brie I ate later. — 8 years ago
Huge South African Shiraz. Deep dark color...deep earthy full mouth feel. Really a great, classic representation of Stellenbosch big reds! Lovely. Reminds me of our time there....makes me long for a bush walk in the veldt of Kruger Park — 8 years ago
Razor sharp, lemon zest with stone fruit and wet stone. Yum! Dances in your mouth, lingers pleasantly. All the stuff I want out of a Riesling. — 10 years ago
Focused & delicious Trocken with complexity & bright fruits. Very refreshing. — 11 years ago

Killer Nahe spätlese Riesling. Rich, complex, and concentrated, yet remains bright and refreshing. Nose of ripe lime, ripe apricot and mango, clean, wet slate minerality, ginger, some petrol funk, a bit of cherry blossom and beeswax, and some ever-so-subtle Thai basil freshness. The palate shows such pure minerality and fruit, like clean, slate-y nectarine juice, plus a touch of the ginger, beeswax, and Thai basil character that shows up in the nose. Intense, juicy acidity, with a perfect amount of RS. It certainly makes its presence known but not cloying whatsoever. Medium (-) body with great glycerine texture. Kruger-Rumpf wines are always so great, one of my favorite producers in the Nahe. Screams for a nice cheese plate. Would love to try some with some more age on it, I can tell this certainly could develop quite interestingly. — 8 years ago
Toasty aromas with some pear skin. Very clean and crisp with just a hint of unctuousness. — 9 years ago
Still tingles with citric acid on the tip of the tongue, but opens up into a sweet, round, perfumed wine with a big body and viscosity. More grapefruit pith this time than tangerine. Too sweet for me, but a customer looking for sweet would be delighted by the subtlety here. — 9 years ago
Also 2 days later... Had this wine at CORK-BUZZ NYC w/my darling Mario. Scrumdillicious! — 10 years ago
