Celia Welch's next legend blends Sauvignon Blanc 2:1 with Sauvignon Musque. Smell it long and lovingly before devouring the dried white peach, Jasmine, and flinty oyster shell chorus. Organically grown in the Prescott-Ashe Vineyard of Oakville. Selectively harvested (8/21/2015) at 24.2 Brix, whole-cluster pressed, settling for 72 hours in new French Oak (30)% and stainless steel for fermentation, sitting sur lie for 4 months with biweekly battonage prior to bottling with acidity at pH 3.45 and ABV 14.2% in April 2016. — 9 years ago

The definition of a volcanic wine. From the moment you open the bottle you smell the ashe, and smoke. It's massive. Intense concentrated Smokey black cherry, and ashe.
Still very young. This is not a pnp. — 8 years ago
This was one absolutely amazing wine. I have never experienced a wine like this, coming out of the bottle basically undrinkable. Decanted it. Poured it. And Boom! Full concert. Deep fruit with a sweet edge and cigar, mineral middle. Tremendous finish. — 9 years ago
Smooth smooth smooth and very velvety! Superb and easy on the palate. Full bodied but easy on the finish!!! — 10 years ago
Perfect way to start the night. 16th wedding anniversary gift from my husband. He's a keeper. — 11 years ago
Very nice bottle for the Lawn at Tanglewood this afternoon, Andris conducting Mahler No. 4 in G (brilliant work), and his beautiful wife Kristine as soprano soloist.
Typical CF nose, and lightly dirty on the palate, yet has minor ruby red grapefruit finish, at $16 this is a star! — 8 years ago

It needed about 10 minutes once you pour to open. Then you sniff and get some caramel and vanilla. Taste is first mild oaky, with a hard rush of hot, fire, spice when you swallow. Mild vanilla finish. Then add a quick squirt of water and you experience less oak but with some ashe at first that leads to less spice and a finish of dark cherry. Then added an ice cube and boom made it even more delicious. The oak was mild, with a happy medium of spice and cool with fruity, toasted caramel finish. — 10 years ago
One of my favorite Oregon Pinot Noirs. Lynn Penner-Ashe is the winemaker. Bright fruit, feminine and elegant in style. — 11 years ago

This is an awesone little wine. Decanted for about 3 hours before being enjoyed. This wine was a MONSTER. Made partially from Oakville Station / To-Kalon fruit and partially from Ashe Vineyards also in Oakville (opposite sides of 29, therefore "East Meets West"). This wine has power!! Blackberry perfume emitting from the glass. Poured a nice dark maroon color. The entry was blackberry, herb, had a nice middle that was very full bodied and dense. Finished with great length and depth with a lot of tannin. This wine will last forever it seems. This one had just a bit more than the standard 2013 Private Reserve, and was the hit of the night. — 8 years ago
