Wait, what? Southern Oregon...where’s that, and how did they come to make such amazing white wines? The sock puppet has questions. Voluptuous density with amazing balance of floral, spice, and tropical fruit notes. Gonna have to look into this Muscat thing... — 8 years ago
Very fruity and sweet. Red berries are stronger than chocolate notes, but a perfect red for a warm evening. — 6 years ago
great flavor with a body.. not too sweet but very bold. — 6 years ago
Kite Tail is from the bluff top on the estate where the soils are well drained and the winds are high. Slowly harvested over 3 weeks and then fermented to full malolactic. It then spends 16 months in 50% new french oak. Definitely a bit on the richer side of the spectrum, but the freshness of the fruit and the cutting acidity make it a high quality example of cool weather cali chard. — 6 years ago
Very smooth. Tastes like a cab. Great for the money. — 7 years ago
Mostly red cherry, savory note on the nose, med tannin, noticeable red and Violet floral note, complex with lots of layers with balance. A beautiful blaufrankisch from Finger lakes — 8 years ago
Ending the day with Georgetown sunset, Italian fresh mozzarella and a good cold white wine... (focus on Georgetown at the back scene) — 8 years ago

Modest showing for a profound wine. A slightly tannic and drying tail was the sole detractor from a perfectly balanced, wonderfully integrated and cassis-laden gem. — 5 years ago
