Elegant. Restrained fruit. Better values at this price point. — 7 years ago
Probably the most enjoyable California Chard I've had. Reminded me of a more complex Kistler. Same full bodied, full nose and rich texture as a kistler, but more layers of flavor. Lots of tropical fruit, some butter scotch and layers of earthiness to round it out. 2014 vintage. — 7 years ago
Nice representation of the vineyard, maybe starting to push the edge of its peak. — 8 years ago
Pretty amazing, great fruit, tropical but not over the to. Plenty creamy but doesn't leave you with a mouth of butter/oily texture. The acid is clean. Need some more time to integrate. Love this producer. — 9 years ago
Drank 10/17/13 with chicken breast, lentils and green beans. Excellent from the start. — 11 years ago
Not a fancy label, but a fancy Pinot indeed. Delicious, bright acid, ripe cherry, rhubarb, cola. The 2012 is ready to drink now... Cooler cellars might can handle another 3-4 years, but why wait? — 7 years ago
Crisp and fresh; great everyday drinker — 7 years ago
Right there with the Big Boys of California. This Awesome South Africa 2023 Chard is incredible. Stood toe to toe with The Judge, Peter Michael, 3 no 2 kinds out of 3 Kistler Chards. Notes of tropical fruits gorgeous acidity with the right backbone. Great Compliments to their winemaker! Another Great 96 pointer in my book. Need more of this Awesome 80$ plus Chard! Crazy, deep caramel but not oxidized and good acidity. — 6 years ago
Nice structure, dark cherries and strawberries — 7 years ago
Trying out Stanford Wine Class. Pulled out three Pinots to taste test. I *loved* the old Kistler Pinots with their dark color, thick jammy viscosity and forest floor notes. The shift towards a lighter more typical Pinot while nice just doesn't make me go wow. It's nice but just that. — 7 years ago
One of the top pinots I have ever had — 7 years ago
Started off with a Kistler Chardonnay that I didn't take a pic of. Beautiful wine as you all know! This was the 2nd wine if the evening and toped the Kistler Chardonnay. It was deeper., with a fuller mouthfeel and a touch more oak and vanilla. Beautiful Chardonnay provided by our friends Dov & Rachel. This was my 1st time enjoying this wine and it was stellar. Thank you Dove & Rachel for both wines 👍😘 — 8 years ago
Wow... This smells exactly like a Delfina margherita pizza.. No joke. Yeasty bubbly crust, olive oil, mozzarella and bright tomato sauce — 9 years ago
Outstanding! WOTN. Perfectly integrated. Red fruit with lots of depth. A great example of an opulent and concentrated red from CA. Drinking at its top. — 11 years ago
