Thank you @Kirk Alexander — 8 years ago
Awesome recommendation from our local wine guy. Hadn't heard of if before, apparently it's a newer project from Kirk Venge. It's the Chardonnay but Delectable doesn't seem to have it in their database. Complex nose and palate of flowers, minerals, slate, apricots, mint, brown butter, blah blah blah. Basically, too many to list, but I like how it tastes a little different each time. Really nice acid and viscosity. Sure to age well. — 9 years ago
Awesome wine provided by my buddy @Kirk Alexander . absolutely beautiful. My favorite tonight. I think all of those drinking each had a favorite! — 9 years ago
Very yummy. Drank at Clusters with Beth, Jess, Kirk and Dean. — 9 years ago
Lighter scented than the 18. Big, big oak and roasted vanilla notes w/spice on the finish. — 10 years ago
Really nice Chardonnay from Costco. — 10 years ago
Not Wise Acres. This is Wise Acre. Kirk Grace's tiny 1/2 acre project. 2010 — 11 years ago
Taking this to dinner tonight. Coombsville fruit. Kirk venge. Reserve bottling. Winery no longer exists. 40 bucks on last bottle (reg 110). Hope it's aged well 😬.
Update: this was probably awesome as a younger wine. With the fruit gone, the alcohol dominates.

@Mike R @David L @Joe Lucca @Ron R @Paul T The WOTN was a beauty so generously given to me by my Bud Paul Treadway! Thanks Paul!!! The tasting notes between the Beau Vigne Estate and Morlet's Coeur de Vallee are eerily similar. The true differentiation between the 2 is Morlet's seem less integration at this time. My buddy Kirk @Kirk Alexander always says "The test of a great wine is when nothing jumps out at you". This particular bottle did just that. Every person this evening commented on the fact that it was such a superbly balanced wine. It was dialed back ever so slightly in all the right spots for it to dance on your palate effortlessly.
Thank you Paul for a stellar bottle!!
It was enjoyed by friends outdoors on this beautiful S FL cool night. What else could one ask for?

@Ron R @David A Lentine @Mike Rowe @Kirk Alexander My 1st time tasting this wine and what an impression it made.,Beautifully intergraded, powerful yet soft and supple. Parker scored it 100 and I now know why! My only minute., minute., minute criticism: I wish the finish was a little longer. Other than that., it was pretty freaking good!! — 9 years ago
Wow., light years beyond Silencieux. Man is this good! Beautiful Oak., awesome integration of blackberry & dark fruit. Impeccably balanced with a finish that would make Lance Armstrong tired to reach! Highly recommend this bad to the Bone Wine! @Kirk Alexander This is a wine that would literally make my buddy Kirk start drinking again during the week!!! 😜🍷🍷😜 — 9 years ago

"Bad Ass in a Glass" is quite accurate here. Poured from a double magnum, this was a big wine that had people smiling and buzzing (in every sense of the word!). Globs of dark fruit, silky smooth, a touch sweet, but so well integrated.
Thank you @Martin G Rivard and @Christine for an epic 48 hours and for opening your home last night for the Super Bowl of wine tastings (and for the four different types of grilled cheese sandwiches that magically appeared toward the end of the night!).
While the wines shared last night literally were the best of the best, so too were the folks I had the pleasure of seeing again and meeting for the first time. Thank you all for making last night so memorable. I look forward to staying in touch and sharing a glass (bottle?) with you all again in the near future.
