Opus One

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2013

Really excellent, big and meaty, full tannin, long finish. But is the name worth the price? ...Probably not for me. — 7 years ago

J. Lohr

Seven Oaks Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Charles Smith

Kungfu Girl Washington State Riesling 2012

The light yellow '12 Charles Smith Riesling 'Kung Fu Girl' blows away the competition for this entry-level price point. Crisp aromatics, with a corresponding flavor profile, of white peach, lemony citrus, lychee and wet stone. Slightly sweet, but with a zippy acidity that keeps it clean and focused. Immensely drinkable! — 10 years ago

7 Deadly Zins Old Vine Lodi Zinfandel 2010

Deadly sins my ass... But then I'm not Catholic!!! This Zinfandel is like a psychotic dwarf, wielding a fruit edged axe, leaping around the inside of your mouth. Fat fruit, teeth staining character... But limited complexity. Price in Canada makes me think it should take me hours to drink a glass... US prices would make this a deeply satisfactory bottle, something that Oakenshield would quaff with deep satisfaction. Buy in the US and pay the import fees... Then get your dwarf on!!!! — 11 years ago
