One of my first wines in South Africa 🇿🇦👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 — 6 years ago
The balanced nose shows restrain and acumen; black cherry mocha and heavy floral conformance. Shades of oak aging are intelligent and stabilized. Tannins are rigid and acidity is noticeable. This wine, however, lacks complexity and gives off high amounts of heat. But the low amount of rain and warm summer in 2015 helped an early ripen, and this wine shows fantastic qualities of ripened fruit without being jammy or over-extracted. Cheers to mother nature, and the amazing things she can accomplish! Cheers! — 7 years ago
Very good, not overly bold. From nakedwines — 8 years ago
Bright aromatics, silky profile #santaritahills #sbcountywines #pinot — 8 years ago
A "wow" Napa Cab, this wine is full of the requisite mocha cherry tones, with the thick dusty tannins which suggest a Rutherford origin of a significant amount of the grapes. This wine paired quite well with flash-marinated steak in orange zest/rosemary sauce over caramelized asparagus, potatoes, zucchini, and bell pepper, and Italian bread with mushroom Brie on the side. Delicious! — 9 years ago
Dry, lots of berries. Would buy again. — 9 years ago
Still got it! Fantastic balance between lingering primary red fruits and full-on tertiary goodness: pomegranate, dried cherry, dried cranberry, mushroom, sage... if you got it, drink it! — 4 years ago
Dry and tannic with clean fruit finish. Very drinkable orange — 6 years ago

2006 Ken Wright "Nysa Vineyard" Pinot Noir - curiosity got the best of me and had to open it, wish I waited. Took two hours to open up. Great acid, smooth tannins, irony mineral, red cherry, tea and mushroom. Hold for another 5-8 years. — 8 years ago
With Ken at BHH. Amazing. 1982 vintage. — 9 years ago
1996 vintage. Great body, floral and stone fruit notes. Perfectly aged example, this bottle was cellared since release so can't guarantee others will turn out like this ! — 9 years ago
Recommended by sake guy at Hasr Wine shop. Clearly passionate about the subject and said best all around choice for Omesaki dinner at BYOB Morios. 50% polished rice and indeed had smoothness and complex long finish not experienced in my limited tasting of sake. Finished all 720 ml and glad Willie had no trouble driving. $55. On palate it's got a nutty yet creamy texture with layers. Can see what this is about. But inability to take sniff from small sake cup gives me pause on what he claimed to be superiority over wine. — 5 years ago
