Odette

Estate Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

dark and complex but with a tiny bit of sweetness. 9.1. Very well done. Second taste. This is probably better than the kata $126 — 6 years ago

The Paring

Red Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2013

$24.95. I was surprised how good this wine was. This had a great aroma. The wine was of deep dark fruits. I bought several bottles of this. It compared well with the Kata cab beckstoffer Bourn. That one is much more balanced but much pricier. Not as labeled-not a Pinot — 7 years ago

Teleda

Old Vine Dry Amber Mtsvane 2014

Oldest winemaking place in the world, 8,000 years ago. Historically, Georgia has so many unique barrels because of their ancient certain practices. The Rkatsiteli (AR-kata-telli) grape in Middle Eastern Kakheti is fermented in Qvevri barrels. 12.5% some skin-contact and some oxidation. A bit hot and zesty as of right now, but this wine transforms. — 8 years ago

Stewart Cellars

Nomad Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

This turned out to be the favorite of the night, especially when the food arrived. More similar to the Kata than the Progeny. A big 2010 with tons of life in it. Could have used a decant. — 6 years ago

Marcassin

Marcassin Vineyard Pinot Noir

Wow! I know, it's way to young to pop. But having these just sitting in the cellar next to our most favorites, Brand, MooneTsai and Kata, we just had to try. It took hours to get to where it needed, but absolutely delicious! — 9 years ago

Conn Creek

Sori Bricco Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Not opened enough in advance and not decanted-- resulted in being surprisingly feminine on first approach, subtle eucalyptis, lavender (or rose?),graphite, fruit lacking, but without any hard edges to be found. Opened up beautifully while maintaining its delicate nature, silk-sheet texture turned into an expensive plush-toy feel, with a full round mid-palate and persistent finish. Many thanks to Andy and Kata for the experience! — 7 years ago
