Earthy, dried rose petal, showing some dark brick color. Cork fully intact upon removal with Durand . Medium ++ body. Chewy grippy tannins. Immediate thought was this could go another 20 years! Little more fruit showing after 30 minutes open. Enjoying with a lamb shoulder roast and heirloom pumpkin hash. Happy Heavenly Birthday Karly! Hold ‘em if you got ‘em. Have a ‘15 and ‘18. This is a fruit forward Zin with fine tannins and complexity. Classic Zin notes with clove, bramble and rich fruit. Tasted after opened for 45 minutes. Great with food. Could age 3-5 years. — 11 years ago
