1999 Case Bassi Di Gianfranco Soldera Riserva Brunello Nebbiolo. Drank w Rick and K on double date at Prov.Wine was great. Very rich and acidic- so different from the 2006 Vosne Romanee. We saved this one for the meat course and it was perfect. Thumbs up all around. — 9 years ago

I love Washington state reds, and knowing the ratings I expected something a little more refined. This is a good wine, but it's very one dimensional. Jammy, dense, plum notes. Sometimes you're in the mood for something that lacks subtlety. In those instances this fits the bill. — 7 years ago

1985 Sassicaia. Second red wine at Redd Wood lunch w A, S, and K. This wine was perfect. Epic. We could not believe how perfect this wine was drinking. Thoroughly enjoyed it- it was enjoyable the way truffles are- hard to describe, but pleasing to all relevant senses. — 9 years ago
