Archetype for #saintjoseph and for #northernrhône #northernrhone #syrah salted cured meats smoke herbal and juicy. Loved it. — 6 years ago

Juicy start, balanced dry finish. Very light, drinkable. Satisfied. — 8 years ago
Flat out delicious. Bursts of acidic cranberries and pomegranates are warmed by cracks of white pepper, and a dash of baking spices. Rustic, but still maintains its juicy Brouilly soul. — 10 years ago
The 07 Lytton Springs is blackberry, boysenberry, blueberry, mulberry syrup over pancakes, an easy integrated array of spices with a whiff of white pepper in the forefront. Rich, jammy, juicy and syrupy. Really starting to shine but I'll hold the rest of my bottles another three years for it's perfection. — 11 years ago
Young bright and juicy! — 11 years ago
So juicy and fresh. Not particularly complex, but perfectly integrated. Really easy drinking. Could down it by the bucket. — 11 years ago
In the zone. Nose of bright and sour cherry, spice, cherry syrup. Ethereal and rich. Mesmerizing. Elite as usual. Really showing well at almost 8. Palate is so juicy and clean. Bursting with ripe cherries and powdery tannins. Sneaky persistence. Fruit really is pure. Amazing energy. Always masterful. — 5 years ago
Deep ruby with aromas of dark fruit, sweet spice and herbs. On the palate of this mostly Cab Sauv with a splash of Merlot, sat on French oak for 18 months (about 1/3 new), flavors of rich and juicy cherry and blackberry with savory spice and integrated toasty oak that gives this medium+ length wine a satisfying finish. Artemis should keep well for at least another 5+ years. — 5 years ago
The nose reveals; sweet & sour dark cherries, deeply, ripe & juicy strawberries, rhubarb & cranberry crossing, plum liqueur, blackberries, blueberries, candied raspberries, dark chocolate, limestone minerals, sandstone, anise to black licorice, dry, crushed rocks with blue, red, dark, fresh & withering florals with fields of violets.
The body is still firm, thick, grainy and full. The structure, tension are still tight. The length and balance are working their way into adolescence. Sweet & sour dark cherries, deeply, ripe & juicy strawberries, black raspberries, juicy, black plum, rhubarb & cranberry crossing, plum liqueur, blackberries, blueberries, candied raspberries, caramel, clove, touch of nutmeg, vanilla, dark chocolate, semi-sweet tarriness, understated herbaceousiness, limestone minerals, powdery sandstone leather, dry tobacco, saddle-wood to cedar plank, dark spice, sandstone, anise to black licorice, dry, crushed rocks with blue, red, dark, fresh & withering florals with fields of violets.
It’s still a youthful wine with another 10-15 years ahead.

My first Tannat and my first wine from Uruguay, appropriate since it is considered their national grape (apparently that’s a South American thing). From small hillside estate blocks located 11 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and aged in French oak. This is the 2015 vintage, and #41 on Wine Spectator’s top 100 wines of 2017. Juicy plum, blueberry, with a tinge of bramble are followed by dried herbs, asphalt, dark chocolate, and some tertiary floral notes. Considering the varietal’s name literally means “tannin” I had harsh expectations, and while the tannins are firm, they have a velvet feel about them. A superb pairing with tenderloin. — 8 years ago
Super juicy nice tannin. Decent finish as well nose of cola good sweet tart flavor not hot at all very well made — 9 years ago
Juicy goodness with expression of volcanic soils of Etna. Delish! — 10 years ago
2012- big dark fruit and deep rich color. Great with In and Out or a big juicy pepper steak. — 11 years ago
Very hard to find in Australia but well worth the hunt. Young female winemaker Arianna Occhipinti makes beautiful wines and this SP68 Nero d'avola / Frappato blend is a juicy, fresh, quality Sicilian red — 11 years ago
Sexy. Getting bigger; 2018s are juicy but there’s some wild earth here. — 5 years ago

Stewed plums, wet leather, mushrooms, earth, cinnamon, dried violets, umami, dill. So graceful and elegant and enough juicy fruit with great bottle age notes shinning through. — 9 years ago

Medium garnet. Pronounced developing nose of spiced plum, bramble, cherries, white pepper, kirsch, hint of chocolate. Dry on the palate with medium acidity, medium+ tannin, medium alcohol and a medium+ body. Pronounced flavors and a long finish. Outstanding and likely lasts for a while longer given structure, body and complex juicy fruit character (and even higher than expected acidity) — 5 years ago
