This is a smooth drinking cab for all occasions — 6 years ago
Very light and easy drinking. Had it with Thai dinner. Not very acidic, does not have a big earthiness that some roses have. This would be a good pick for people who are in the middle on their thoughts of rose — 7 years ago
(raised in stainless steel tanks and made with no malo) Limpid straw-yellow. Assertive, mineral-accented orchard fruit, melon and fennel aromas are sharpened by hints of ginger and lemon zest. Intense pear skin, Meyer lemon and violet pastille flavors show a suave blend of richness and delicacy thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Closes minerally, taut and impressively long, leaving a powerful floral note behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2018) — 8 years ago

Picked purely because its my sons name. Pleasantly surprised. — 13 years ago
Shimmering orange-pink. Pungent cherry and red berry scents take on floral and spice nuances with air. Shows silky texture and good depth to the zesty red currant and bitter cherry flavors, which turn sweeter through the midpalate. Smoothly blends heft and energy and finishes long and nervy, with a hint of bitter orange pith adding final bite. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2021)

Zoom event with Drew Bledsoe and Josh McDaniels. Vertical from ‘07, ‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17, ‘17 estate, and ‘18. All were exceptionally smooth and silky with good depth of fruit. Notes on the ‘18: 90% CS, 5% Malbec, 5% Merlot. Least favorite of the night. Still a good wine but perhaps a bit too young, or just different enough from the others that I liked ones with a bit more age. This wine had a little more density than the others and perhaps a little more earth and graphite coming through that masked the fruit. It still had the classic doubleback elegance of the others but I felt we were not seeing this wine’s true expression. It only had about 1 hour in the glass and perhaps I need to pull another bottle, decant for a few hours and see what it does. — 5 years ago

Vivid straw-yellow. A suave, intensely perfumed bouquet features fresh pear, tangerine, iodine, buttered toast and smoky minerals that show superb definition and spicy lift. Penetrating, concentrated and sharply focused; a core of juicy acidity supports powerful orchard and citrus fruit and honeysuckle flavors that deepen through the midpalate. Rich but lithe as well, with superb finishing energy and mineral-driven tenacity. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, September 2020)

Medium body, well balanced. Good. Bought with JAL points. — 5 years ago
Very good value for a Reserve Cab. Raspberry and blackberry and slightly nutty flavors. I would buy another bottle or two. — 6 years ago
Inky, bright-rimmed ruby. Mineral-accented cherry, cassis and peony qualities on the highly perfumed nose, along with a building mineral nuance. Appealingly sweet and focused on the palate, offering juicy dark berry, floral pastille and spicecake flavors that slowly deepen through the midpalate. Shows real energy and spicy lift on the persistent finish, which is given shape by smooth, even tannins. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, April 2020)

Jim Arterberry-Maresh is one of Oregon's most talented, young winemakers. His entry-level 2015 Pinot is anything but basic, delivering vibrant, mineral-laced red fruit and floral character, with striking clarity and balance. Sure, it'll age, but it's pretty gorgeous right now. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, Jan 2018) $25 — 8 years ago
Fruit forward with a fresh finish, low tannins and good alcohol content — 10 years ago

Limpid orange. Mineral-accented blood orange, strawberry, floral and succulent herb scents show fine definition and pick up a spicy nuance with air. Chewy and densely packed yet energetic and sharply focused on the palate, offering vibrant red berry, bitter cherry, citrus pith and honeysuckle flavors and a deeper peach pit flourish. The mineral and floral notes return on the very long, precise finish. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2021)
