Volcanic unfiltered milky warm nights in a bottle. A cloudy ripe look in the glass and a saturated feel in the mouth, it gets more acidic in the nose and pungent in the jowls as it sweats. A server in Bones restaurant Paris pointed out that this was one of their wines that some people liked and many people felt ass too much like rubbing alcohol on the nose. Seeing as how that's my favorite wine and the Sardignia label was my immediate go to, my thought that's it's much more like a luscious milky grape juice for the mouth, childlike and happy rather than the dominant acid I generally like, should be considered next to the expert's thoughts that it was a dominantly sharp flick in the nostrils. This is your warm, dirty Paris night of your younger travels--no filters, a slight sunburn through the nigori haze, and a lot of laughter. A memorable serve. — 11 years ago
Smelled like a blueberry filled swimming pool complete with chlorine initially, but after an hour of splashing around, notes of mint, black currant, licorice and cedar emerged. Black currant continued through the palate, with a blueberry-grape bubblegum dip-n-stix flavor amidst a toasty oak and tobacco with cinnamon. Basically a hearty but smooth, round-tannin romp in the concrete pond! Put on your purple polka dot monokini, because this sultry little vixen is right out of a Russ Meyer's flick, and she can still beat you to death with her ample fruits!
