Big and spicy. Tastes it’s age, but has a lot of depth. — 8 years ago
Another above-the-fold headline scoop from "Superman's Pal"! This is a dense, jammy blend with slimy smooth body. The rich dark cherry, red raspberry, and black currant flavors balance nicely. It works well as an after-dinner digestive wine. — 8 years ago
Very good. Delicious fruity finish — 9 years ago
Nice blend. — 10 years ago
Awesome complex pinot. Jim Clendenon's never done me wrong. Aromatic, perfumy, racy floral nose- rose, orange blossom, mushrooms, cedar, sap, dried orange peel. Palate is rich in depth opening with pomegranate, dried fig, tart strawberry, leading into hints of firewood and plums with mushrooms and chinese 7 spice on finish. — 12 years ago
Easy smooth red — 7 years ago
The acidity is like a punch in the face - in a good way! Very dry with a bit of sunny currant. — 8 years ago
Good. Not as good as the patriarch — 8 years ago
Unbelievable wine right now. Silky smooth to the finish and still jammy in flavor after all this time in the bottle 🙏🏻 — 9 years ago
Fresh lemon and lime, wet stones and a feint dead grass aroma. Next level acidity on this at the moment. Would be good to see her in another cutla — 10 years ago
Buttery without the grassiness. — 10 years ago
Bites hard, but very good. I recommend adding a little water — 11 years ago
What a great chill out chard. — 12 years ago
Mmmmm..... Taste the Rye — 12 years ago
Wow, acid is here and that's for sure. Utterly refreshing, peppery lime nose. Grapefruit, gave, bitter lime but all very balanced. I could drink a bucket. — 7 years ago
Dark Ruby. Lovely aromatics, violets, roses, flower garden that blossomed into a nice layered flavor trove of chocolate dipped cherry and toasted cinnamon stick. Perfect compliment to a NY Strip. — 7 years ago
Jim Clendenen & Emeril Lagasse dinner through the Triangle Wine Experience - great magnum — 7 years ago
13’ Au Bon Climat Nuits- Blanches Au Bouge (On That Road Again) Chardonnay.
Decant this for 30 minutes. Honestly I’ve really never had a Chardonnay quite like this one.
Baked apple, lemon, lime, white flowers, definite oak treatment. It all seems to work. Truly an enjoyable wine. Jim has been making outstanding wines for 35+ years. Reasonably priced and delicious. Could possibly get even better with another year in bottle.

Pretty good. Not too big (staying consistent with Jim Clendenson's Burgundy approach). I'm gunna have to remember this one. — 9 years ago

Dark fruits, sweet oak, still quite youthful and moderately tannic, medium-long finish, solid mountain Merlot, lovely wine made by my friends Jim and Barbara, RIP. — 6 years ago
