Wonderfully full bodied, was getting better even as we drank the last drops. — 8 years ago
Nice premier cru beaune. First time visiting this vineyard and it didn't disappoint.. reminiscent of the beaune-coucherias from Michel gay. Cranberry, red candy, and flowers on the nose.. velvety smooth cherry cola on the palate, pretty rich but with lively balancing acidity that begs for food. On day two, a note of pipe tobacco emerges.. nice pairing for soprasetto. — 8 years ago
Still a lot of ripe juiciness with earth and pepper bouquet. — 9 years ago
Tasted with winemaker at dinner in VA. Bought a case. $34 per bottle. Great! — 9 years ago
Excellent. More complex but with all that wonderful balance. — 5 years ago
2008 vintage at pineapples and pearls. Absolutely delicious and even more so with food-they paired with crab but I drank with many other courses! — 7 years ago
2008 drinking very well today. Pretty fruit. — 8 years ago
Good burgundy smells like sex... Awesome Gevrey, delicate with just the right amount of "rustic" to remind you of where you're at. Still young but already awesome. — 9 years ago
Unctuous. Very enjoyable — 10 years ago
Wonderful nose....explosively aromatic. Perfume and bright red fruit. Taste on par with nose, but wine was thin and a little too acidic. But definitely worth it for the olfactory experience alone!! — 5 years ago

Pastrami, juniper berry, mineral, red currant skin, birch smoke. — 8 years ago
This is the 'Cuvée du Roi' 2012 and is clearly a Bourgogne from the Cotes-du-Nuits. This is rich and silky with great depth and structure that has some lovely acidity and fine tannins that drinks well above its level. Could easily be a good C-D-N villages. — 9 years ago
Absolutely a dream. Totally out of my price range but worth a splurge when I see it. One of the best I've tasted! — 10 years ago

Quite a disappointing showing. While the wine had nice complexity the alcohol level was too pronounced. I assume this was chaptilized for the alcohol to show up this much for a 2011 vintage. Loved this producer's 1er cru champonnets Gevrey bottling but for a grand cru level this is not up to snuff. — 4 years ago
