Lunch in Auxerre with Jean Christophe Bersan, producer of characteristic St. Bris (the only Sauvignon Blanc appelation in Burgundy). This cuvée shows itself beautiful today. It is a bit heavy on the palate, due to some oak aging, but it never gets flabby. From a clay and limestone soil vineyard. — 10 years ago
A good bottle with fine cooking by cuisiner Jean-Christophe Moutet at #aupresduclocher in #pommard ; pidgeon accompaniment with #volnay #marquisdangerville #closdesangles #2009 #uncorkedandcultivated #wineandfoodtours #france2015 — 10 years ago
Full bodied with a wonderful finish. Red and black fruit notes hit the nose. — 10 years ago
Surprisingly rustic. Years of life still left. Bing cherry, damp earth and slight barnyard — 11 years ago

You guys know I think Manfred Krankl walks on water, but these Christophe Baron wines, Cayuse, No Girls, Horsepower, are absolutely spectacular. Similar to Clos Saint Jean and Philippe Cambie, these wines are stunners. Give me SQN and Baron's wines, and I'm happy. — 10 years ago

Solid for the price point. Right amount of oak, higher acidity. Some oxidation at first but blew off and opened into a really nice and easy white. — 11 years ago
Beautiful and balanced, blend of Chasselas, Chardonnay, Marsanne and Gewürztraminer. Would drink this against many higher prices French wines — 9 years ago
