Porto Colheita - Single Harvest Port Blend 1996

Damned fine, but not as sublime as the ‘86 I had a couple years ago. At $50/bottle, might be worth laying down a couple for special occasions — 7 years ago

Limited Edition Harvest Ale Sherry 2014

It's a pleasing rusty- brown color, very opaque. The aroma is sweet, reminds me of maple syrup, with tons of sherry and oak. The aroma directly translates to the palate, as I'm getting strong sherry and oak flavors. Not sweet or boozy at all, especially for its impressive 11.5% ABV! The mouth-coating viscosity is fantastic, really thick and luxurious. This honestly reminds me of an older Macallan 18, that freakin good. Highly recommended! — 9 years ago

Harvest Ale English Barley Wine

Sent from heaven to pair with sticky toffee pudding. Beautiful, mild oxidation quality with notes of oloroso sherry. Good acid and cuts that bread a new one. — 10 years ago

Sotto Voce Ruby Reserve Porto

My parents went to 🇵🇹 and all I got was a decent port. (And sardine paté actually).

Ruby red 👁️ (duh)
Petrol (alcohol?) Then dried fruits followed by hints of spices (pepper, cinnamon and cloves) 👃
Ripe cherry and dry red and black fruits with some nuttiness and spicy hints. background tartness all along the way.
Light and pleasently dry 🎯

Paired well with dark chocolate with added lemon and black pepper. It made the wine richer and much more 🍋lemony.
Nothing extra exciting, but does what it says on the tin.

Using this port instead of rosso vermouth in a negroni 🍸 worked very nicely.

Extra Selected Port Blend Porto 1985

(19/20) Сложный, красивый букет ароматов вишни, малины, кураги, инжира, шоколада, табачных листьев и баттерскотча. Великолепно сбалансированная структура. Отличная концентрация вкусов. Продолжительное послевкусие. Мечта! — 9 years ago

Totally flat. Took a while to open up, but once it hit its stride it was hitting on all cylinders. Still a bit sweet compared to Thomas Hardy which keeps it from reaching greater heights. — 6 years ago
