5th Coravin pour since 7/25/15, still great, starting to mature. Deep ruby red with compkex aromas of black fruit, herbs and vanilla spice. The wine opened with fresh sweet ripe dark fruit, blackberry and black cherry, with oak, leather and cacao. Well balanced, tannins continuing to develop nicely, slightly savory, finishing with sweet oak notes. My notes from my five pours using Coravin were very consistent, but now noticing the wine maturing. It really

Super easy to drink! Will be finishing this bottle tonight. Or at least I wouldn't be surprised if I did. It's not over powering or spicy. Just very very light, a tad sweet, and a tiny sweet finish. — 9 years ago
Raspberry and confectionery notes carrying over to the palate. Satisfying middle weight blend which works well. Fruit driven with no oak influence. — 10 years ago

Pretty delicious and the only field recordings offering that I've found in Alabama. — 8 years ago
notes of black cherry pie and a touch of chocolate with a little more residual sugar than a typical port — 8 years ago
Delicious. Dark, syrupy but fruity. — 9 years ago
Solid but unspectacular. I doubt this will get any better than it is. Syrah/cabernet sauvignon blend. The nose is all cabernet, but it's all syrah in the mouth. Blueberry notes, still tannic. The parts are good, but the whole doesn't quite get there. — 9 years ago
Scents of raisin, sumac, and alcohol, accented with date, fig, and raisin flavors. The high alcohol content makes it a bit hot to taste -- and sounds off-putting, but this wine works. Really well. The per bottle price at Zaytinya reflects a 3x markup, which is fair enough, but I'd buy this over and over again at $53 to have at home with a Mediterranean themed meal. — 9 years ago
Also magnum- the better of the two, more balanced - not quite showing the heat as much- smoother softer finish. Nice layers to this one..riper cab, but not too ripe. 9.1+? — 10 years ago

Awesome. Paired with take out sushi / sashimi ... no appetite for cooking after family in for 3 days. This Nebbiolo works after dinner too paired with board games with the kids and (8) Notre Dame vs (21) Stanford — 7 years ago

Nutty, orange rind, and chocolate. M+ acid and M sweetness. M+ intensity. On the palate, raisin, dried fruit, cherry, caramel and orange. Long finish. — 9 years ago
Still young, but this is drinking well with an hour in the decanter. The dusty, smoky nose is followed by dark fruit, leather, forest floor, and some wood spice. The tannins are still perky, so it works best with food for now. Wish I had more to drink over the next 10 years. — 9 years ago
Need to find some more of this! — 10 years ago
